(1) Full-time teaching load, currently including any of the following courses:  Sociology of Human Services (graduate course), Human Services Administration (graduate course), Clinical Sociological Theory (undergraduate course), Social Problems (undergraduate course, including writing intensive and Honors College sections), Disability and Society (dual-level course), Seminar on At-Risk Children (graduate course), Methods for Human Service Practice (graduate course), Applied Methods for Human Services (undergraduate course).

(2) Serve as Coordinator of doctoral program in Administration and Leadership Studies in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (involves chairing advisory committee, coordinating admission procedures, ensuring the smooth operation of the program, student advising, marketing, and recruiting).  As first program coordinator, also developed curriculum, admission, and other policies.

(3) Served (1995-1997) as Coordinator of the Graduate (M.A.) Program in Sociology (involved chairing departmental graduate committee, admitting graduate students to the program, developing recruitment and curriculum materials, and generally overseeing graduate activities).

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, BEGINNINGS EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES

(1) Created and administered award-winning agency serving developmentally delayed, disabled, and at-risk infants and toddlers at sites in Johnstown and Ebensburg, Pennsylvania.

(2) Directed staff of 25 persons (program director, 10 teachers, 3 speech therapists, 2 physical therapists, social worker, parent coordinator, 2 occupational therapists, 2 occupational therapy assistants, office manager, clerical assistant, and van driver).

           (3) Developed and administered program budget (over $600,000 in 1994), including grant applications.             

(4) Developed public awareness programs and coordinated services with other area agencies.

(5) Worked with Board of Directors.

 

ADJUNCT ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, UNIVERSITY OF PITTSBURGH:
