The history program at IUP is excellent preparation for students interested in teaching, government service, pre-law training, broad business opportunities, work in varied fields of journalism, archival positions, and for public history.  A wide variety of courses and histories are taught since we as a department believe that a global historical understanding is essential for the future of civilization.
