Uganda security guard complains of low pay

Security guard Atubete Lazarias has complained that  his pay is not  enough for the kind of job he does.

Atubete said  his job as a security guard  puts him a place of high responsibility.

“My boss trusts me to look after his property.” He said

Atubete said   his job  is tiresome. “I am always alert the whole night and I do not get to sleep at all.”

Despite  this Lazarias said  his job is his career and it offers him  an income he needs to survive.

Atubete works for a  security company called AlertGuards.

He guards the Ankra Foundation a private institution based in Mukono district.

Atubete said he was born in a poor family. He never went to school.

He said he joined the security group a career that some of his relatives also pursued.
