NASHA director denies link with with DAALO.

The manager of  the National Airport Services and Ground Handling Agent has denied  that his company is owned by an airline.

Speaking at a press conference  Dahir Mohamoud said  the rumors were pure speculation.

“There is no particular relationship or ownership of NASHA and DAALO Airlines,” he said.

Dahir who is a co-owner of  NASHA said his  company serves all airlines according  to civil aviation procedures.

Dahir said NASHA was part of  privatization by government and this was something new to people

He said “There are at least 20,000 private handlers in this world and we are one of them, we have changed the situation that has been existed in the Somaliland airports and made effective and customer oriented missions and goals and this is one of the advantages of privatization.”

Dahir said  people of Somaliland either to start businesses or support the existing ones.

Replying to a question from The African Star reporter  Dahir said, “Our doors are open for new ownership, we welcome that and want to extend our shares, that is the only way we could succeed”.

Earlier Dahir gave a short introduction of the company’s activities. He said Nasha is the country’s unique airports ground handling company. It was been established on February 16, 2002 under a bilateral agreement between the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Management of NASHA.
