President of Somaliland attends graduation ceremony

Somaliland president, Dahir Rayale Kahin ,was among  dignitaries at the graduation ceremony of 60 studentss. Thirty six students received certificates on completion of the first semester of their Certificate in Journalism.

Since it is the first graduation, the university held a big ceremony at the university hall. The ceremony was attended by hundreds  of guests who included Somaliland president and opposition leaders.

The president congratulated the students and their professors for their effort in the university.

The president gave a history of education in  Somaliland.

Hargeisa University Chancellor Fozia Youssouf H. Aden expressed her pleasure of the graduation. She was one of the founders of Hargeisa University.

This is the first degree graduation in the history of Hargeisa.
