Ministry moves villagers to settle land disputes

The Ministry of pastoralism and development ,with the collaborations of the ministry of interior affairs, decided to remove two new villages which were established between Salahlay and Bali-gubadleh districts.

 

There was violence between the local people for settlement in the area.

 

“The public grazing areas between Salahlay Baligubadleh

were settled by certain members of the local community and they established these villages. The government will take an

action about this.” The Minister of Pastoralism and

Development, Fuad Aden Ade (pictured)

said.

 

He pointed that they will remove the districts Allaabaday, Salahlay, Fareweyne, Sabawanaag, Bali-gubadleh and Adaadley in Hargeisa region.

The minister describe during press release in his office “Today as it seems the public grazing land for animals is encircled by people and that is very

strange.”

He said certain wild animals, some people have in their homes such deer,

tigers and lions and said it was illegal to have them  in one’s home in  Hargeisa.

Mr Fuad said  his ministry is planning to collect the animals and put them in a zoo that will be established.
